LOOKING FORWARD TO AUGUST
This week I picked up a lot of fun people through rideshare. One told me about her experience a long while back doing Hot Yoga at a studio in New York called, 'Y-7,' it's something I always wanted to do. The woman said all the walls are painted black and there are no windows and everyone has their shirts off.
Another person came towards the car in a jumpsuit. I thought it odd being in so late in summer, but he told me he basically works in a freezer, where it gets 30 degrees below and he's responsible for packing the ice cream and lobsters.
I picked up another guy at 5am who looked strikingly like Andy Cohen and had the same flamboyant voice. I get called a lot of names like 'Driver' and pat, but sometimes I get 'doll,' like 'Have a great day, doll!' Which I don't know if it's a southern thing or what. But it's been pretty eventful. I'm looking forward to seeing some improv in the park through 'Stevie Ray's this weekend.

DeleteI hope you are writing everything down for your book. One of the most fun jobs I ever had was working for the Census Bureau. Did I ever hear some stories? But I was sworn to an oath of confidentiality and that was frustrating to me. You have no such oath.

I guess you are an uber driver? You remind me of Sabrina's dad! He was chauffeur and he would read all the time while waiting for customers etc. He never wanted to do anything else, because it would steal his reading time.

Sounds like you have an interesting job! You should keep a notebook to write down what people say to you and publish it. I would definitely buy a copy!
