Heathen Shane Stevens Premiere

Today's post will link up to The Sunday SalonThe Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves for weekly updates.

           LOOKING FORWARD TO SEPTEMBER

On Friday, I went to see my sister in the 'Heathen Shane Stevens Premiere. It filmed at Riverview Theater. My Sister had a big role as camp staff.  “She killed it" as some would say. And it was so exciting to see her on the big screen. The sitcom was filmed at the same camp that I went to as a kid: camp Tanadoona in Excelsior, Minnesota. Many of a summer was spent at camp Tanadoona: fishing, swimming and canoeing in Lake Minnewashta.

And bonus! Allison Witham, who interviewed on my blog only two weeks ago, (Click Here to see the post )was also a member of the film’s production staff.

Where will the film go from here? Well, the directors plan to send the sitcom to some film festivals and then we’ll see where it goes from there.

    1. I hope it's a success as well. There were like a hundred people involved and it's very interesting to see the process. I hope to write a blog post soon on the process.

  4. Fun! My daughter went to Camp Tanadoona for a few years. We were even able to host some of the counselors for the weekend at our home. It is actually on Lake Minnewashta, not connected to Lake Minnetonka which is in Exclesior. We lived on St. Albans Bay right there by Excelsior for about 20 years.

    How exciting for your sister!

    1. Thanks for the edit, Anne. That's so exciting that you were able to host some of the counselors. I still have very vivid memories of the camp counselors who were all very nice people. It's so interesting that we have so much in common.

  6. How cool! So, both you and your sister act? (Or do you just stick to improv?)

    1. My sister acts. I do improv. I have yet to be in any films or plays, but am aiming too. Thanks Nicci.
