Celebrate the small things 

I'm celebrating this week the fact that I picked up a yucca plant that someone had labeled as free in their front yard.  I repotted it and we'll see how it grows.

I'm celebrating that we got a lot of rain.  I love rainy days and I included some pictures of things I saw in the rain. We also got a tornado warning but we missed the funnel, Thank God!
I'm also celebrating clients who make me laugh.  One of my clients was furious with a friend who stole her car, but I took her to get a wine cooler and I think she calmed down a bit.

Things I learned from my LYFT clients

• I learned that a lot of Vermont college students save money by living in tents near campus.  This from a guy who works for public works and is responsible for dispatching personnel to fix up potholes in St Paul.

• I learned from a History teacher turn Accountant that mutual funds are generally invested into ten different stocks.

Why am I celebrating caffeine and zoom?  

Because its a great fantastic!

I got this idea from another writer.

Some pics from my drive to work, it's been RAINY!

This week has been fun.  I found this group called Applied Improvisation Network and the people in it seemed to know all things ZOOM related and they make improv accessible.  The group set up a ZOOM open space where you could take sessions that interest you.  I took an improv game session and we played FREEZE tag, but instead of running around, we went from breakout room to breakout room, and improvisers tag us in a ZOOM room by counting to ten and saying our name.  And then other participants could un-tag us.  
I also listened to singers in ZOOM song soiree.  They musicians played guitars and sang their hearts out, it was quite emotional.

That was my fun week.

Reading:Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger (Author of The Time Traveler's Wife) It's basically about a set of Twins who inheret a haunted flat from their deceased Aunt in London, but the only way they can take keep it is if they live in it for a year.  I adore it.  The language is so beautiful and the characters are so eccentric and the images of the twins are so delicate, it will make you look at twinsies in a whole new way.

Why am I celebrating the small things?  

Because there's so many blessings!

I got this idea from thinking positive.

So I went to Huber Park in Shakopee and walked past their amphitheater. It's a pretty big park with a small river. I met a friend there to talk all things improv. I enjoyed it a lot and really liked the view.

I also got a bunch of books from the little free library.

I also drove a LYFT passenger who told me that she has plans to go to South Korea and until then she's cooking South Korean food and watching KPOP. Korean music is really exploding and I find it fantastic. The passenger and I also talked about books and the series YOU on NETFLIX and then I got to talking to her how I wanted to subscribe to audible and so I did.

I finally got the book, 'Precious YOU' By Helen Monks Takhar. It's a lot like YOU and I love how in the intro, the character seems obsessed with trying to run over her lover who is on their bicycle.


Fun facts from my LYFT clients

There's a business called Carvana.com where you can buy used cars and have them delivered to your home. You have like seven days to return it. The sales person was picking up parts from a dealerships when I picked him up.

There's also a business called 'Dream trips' which says they offer the cheapest trips on an app, and will even give a money back guarantee if you find a trip cheaper. The guy said that a place like Carnival cruises buys hotels in bulk and that's how they offer their discounts to customers. That was my week folks. Hope you enjoy yours!
