Why am I celebrating the small things?  

Because there's so many blessings!

I got this idea from thinking positive.

I've been counting my blessings. I recently got a box in the mail from the school system with lots of snacky-type foods for Zulfi. 

 I'm also thankful for Virtual doctors.  Zulfi has overlapping toes which can be fixed with a minor surgery and he'll be fitted for orthodics so he can walk better. 

I'm also trying to contribute to Medium.com a resource for writers to receive claps for their writing. 

I'm still doing improv and sometimes I'll be sitting in my house at 6pm exhausted, but I'll get online and have a laugh with a few actors on ZOOM. It helps. 

 It's been hard reaching out to friends because no one seems to want to talk.  And I, too, don't want to hear any unnecessary drama.  Just stay positive.   Sometimes I send them a few gift cards to keep their moral high .Hope you all are good and finding things to do.

I would recommend this book to anyone who love, love loves atmospheric novels.

Why am I celebrating the internet?  

Because its a great resource!

I got this idea from another writer.

I realized this morning, that I created two of the same  blog posts and so I had to combine them(Weird) I often start drafting a post on Thursday and hope that I get to it.  Well, I got to it by Sunday lol.  

Anyways... I love ZOOM because I've been feeling more connected to people without visiting them in social places. I've also taken a workshop to learn how to do break out rooms, and zoom white board, so that all of my friends can do a collaborative picture and then create an improv story.

I finally paid for a monthly zoom account so I can do a lot more.It's been fun.  Sometimes I even do virtual improv meetups in my car, while waving at a confused neighbor or rolling up the window so I don't have the distraction of a dark barking. 

I love virtual improv sessions. So far I've done like six of them and I can do them in different states.  New York has Improv Now weekly sessions and Jams. I've met tons of people who talk about central park and fun things .  I do one in Seattle in the mornings. It starts at 8:30am, but luckily that's 10:30 Minnesota time.  And then there's one that they do in Boston and their Neighbor city Philadelphia, called the Virtual improv Incubator

 I have also heard of a few ZOOM  mettings getting hacked, so there's also that.  Recently it was a stand up comedy event, and let's just say that some privacy was exposed.  ZOOM's been fun. I hope you're having a fun week and keeping busy.

Why do I love virtual sessions?  

Because they are empowering!

I got this idea from quarantine

I love virtual sessions because I learn a lot! And I mean a lot.  I took part in a wordpress  session and I talked to developers and programmers about how to make a successful website.  I have a Wordpress account but I've been hesitant to make the leap because I'd have to learn a whole new tool, but I'm glad for the opportunity to learn so much last Saturday.  The group is called Mpls-St Paul Wordpress User group on Meetup.com https://www.meetup.com/Minneapolis-St-Paul-WordPress-User-Group/

We brainstorm ideas on how to make our sites better. This brainstorming often happens in fifteen minutes intervals and then we have a discussion.  At first I was a bit intimidated because a lot of the members use their Wordpress for Business, and they know things that are way over my head. But once I shook my nerves out, I listened and contributed.  Hope you all are having a great week and trying new things.

I'm also going to go out on a limb and say that if any of you Sunday Bloggers want to zoom chat and talk about your blogs and things you want to learn, I'd be willing to set up a chat session, just put the time you're available on a sunday, along with time zone and I'll send you a note with link to your blog.  You wouldn't have to do video, if you didn't feel comfortable(I'm all about the boundaries). 

I know that Karen @https://www.bakinginatornado.com/ has a FB site that is great for communicating as well.

I love that expat, Rachel, has a post about the top places to go to in China.  The first place I think of is the Great Wall.  I know someone in the US who buys fireworks and puts them on display in the US.  Rachel talks about how bigger cities may make it easier to haggle for prices because they have more English speakers.  Great point!

I love that that this blogger gets real honest and talks about spitting and hocking in China. link  I never knew this was common, but they do say it's happens less in a city like Shenzhen (where the blogger lived) and more in other cities.

This Expat blogger admits that it gets cold in China. After hanging her husband's socks to dry, they apparently froze.  link Now it may NOT get as cold as Minnesota, but I like knowing that people on the other side of the world can empathize with the extreme cold.

Now this Expat blog comes from a retiree who talks about all things china and doesn't seem afraid to talk about taboo matters.  I didn't want to go into depth but if those types of things fascinate you, than you may be interested in looking at this site. I did find it fascinating to learn that there are 80 +cultural groups in China.

This expat talks about how fast paced life in China is and how everything seems to be about work, work work.  He's learned hobbies like playing ice hockey and brewing beer in his garage link .  He talks about teaching online and gives some great resources.

Now this blog has nothing to do with China but I thought it worth mentioning because it received a blogger of the Month award.

This blogger talks about how she moved with her husband to London in 2018 and how it's always been a lifelong dream of hers.  The photography in Chelsea's blog is extraordinary.  I've been to UK myself and I don't think I've seen it in the light she's given it like today.  She has a post about the  Blenheim Palace .  This is the first I've heard of it.  Apparently its one of England’s greatest country houses and was built in the early 1700s, and was the birthplace of Winston Churchill.
