Why am I celebrating stories?  

Because there's so great!

I got this idea from the many clients I spoke to.

This week I listened to people tell me their stories.  One guy told me about his job as a truck driver and how all the semi truck drivers in the lot he parks at are so nosey.  He told me about how his semi got shot at while driving through Pennsylvania. 

 Another person told me about how she plans to do a lot of activism in Minnesota as a make up artist.  She's going to make sure that African American models will have their choice of makeup and hair designer.  

I talked to some other people who got hired by staffing agencies and seemed real happy to dig their hands into a new job.  Another woman was on her way to an interview.  

And still another was helping out at a food shelf and told me how their agency had reached a record by giving more than 400 meals to families in need.

I picked up a librarian who told me her goldfish lived to be twelve years old and she informed me about this aquarium called Aquaponics. I included a description below because otherwise it would be difficult for me to explain.

Aquaponics.  

Aquaponics is a catchall term for food-growing systems that link hydroponics to aquaculture. In hydroponic systems, vegetables grow with their roots bathed in water rather than in soil. Aquaculture systems grow fish. Put the two together, add some bacteria, and you have an almost closed loop system. Here’s why:

Fish poop into the water they live in. That poopy water is high in nitrogen, which is an essential nutrient for plants. Plant roots take up nitrogen from the water, purifying it and leaving it clean enough for fish to live in.
