Celebrate the small things
I'm celebrating some conversations I've had with some people this week.
I talked to someone who works for Doordash and instacart and they said ALDI is a better option to shop for customers and search for items since their are fewer options.
I talked to someone who mentioned how the Dorothy Day shelter was covered up in St. Paul when big wig politicians were in tow. They had this idea that instead of covering up the fact that we have homeless shelters in our downtown, it might be better to house people in rural areas and transport them.
I also found a huge fish tank that takes more than 20 gallons on the side of the road and I'm happy to fill it up with fish.

I always had fish tanks at my school library. Often the principals would bring children to the library to look at the fish when the children were disruptive. It seemed to calm them down. You will enjoy that fish tank, I bet.
ReplyDeleteWe have many homeless people here in my small town. We got to know one homeless woman, Mary, very well. She refused any offers of help from relatives and others in our town. She preferred to live outdoors, she told us. We would visit with Mary every day when we walked in the park. No one has seen her for quite some time, though.
Aldi is definitely my favorite even when I wasn't using Instacart. They have great prices, quality stuff. We have had deliveries from 6 places though. I do get Amazon monthly stuff too. And the occasional Walmart pickup. It seems like everything I want is not from one place always.

I am a fan of Aldi. I haven't shopped there since the pandemic because our Aldi's is always crowded. I never thought about delivery- thanks We have a fish tank that we cleaned out and it sits empty cause no one wants it. Maybe I'll just put it at the curb and see if anyone will take it.. I've never shopped at Aldi, but it sounds like I need to check it out! I've always wanted a large fish tank, but they are so expensive. I can't wait to see how it all turns out!

I've never shopped Aldi, mostly because I shop myself and like more options, I suppose :) I'd be scared about an abandoned fish tank leaking! Be careful :) Enjoy your week.
