           LOOKING FORWARD TO july

This week I finally went sailing, and that was a blast.  I zoomed across Lake Harriet and waved to other sailors and took some fun pics.  There's moments where you feel like your boat is going to capsize because your tipped to one side but these boats have 300 pound weights at the bottom to stabilize you.

I also went to a few shows.  One was with a fortune teller who helps people learn their fortune through poems.  The poem I received was "Imagine." (very fitting) Another was an  immersive show. And here's what I love about immersive shows on ZOOM. The theater will send you an email or text to your phone with top secret details that you supposed to remember.  And then you open the ZOOM link, half knowing what to expect -and it turns out to be something completely different, like an escape room, or a show where your personal details are made into a joke. So its fun!

This week, I also drove a few people to the airport.  One was a power couple: a clergy therapist and a teaching coach-so that conversation got interesting.  I also drove a teacher and a guy who thinks to become a youth pastor.
Then I sat in on a discussion on ZOOM about anxiety and coping.  I got to throw in a few ideas of my own, and include links to YouTube videos that help on these topics like Leo from actualization.org

Upcoming Shows

Theater 29 Denver, Colorado will be opening their VIRTUAL show Communication Solutions:A story of Extravagant Love,  July 26
Immersive (Audience engagement show)
Experience an immersive story of upper-management intrigue, authoritarian coercion and corporate S&M that unravels via social media, email, and in virtual and visceral reality at Theater 29.
After receiving an official email from the Communications Solutions CEO, the real story will unfold as an anonymous entity releases a cavalcade of damning documents, clandestine voicemails, and alarming images, on Instagram, Facebook, and email, culminating with a top-secret image appearing in a subversive storefront window-reveal at Theater 29.

The Silk Roads by Peter Frankopan

"Reasons to Breath" by Rebecca Donovan-This is the first in the series and I'm liking it a lot. At first I thought it would be some kind of guilty pleasure and then I was blown away but some of the physical aggression by the parents in this book.  There were moments I wanted to scream at the main character "Run" and I couldn't believe what was going on.  I will definitely come back for more.

           LOOKING FORWARD TO SEPTEMBER

Hello! The weather this week was great.  I went to see Ali Sultan (the comedian ) at Camp Bar in St. Paul on Friday.  Ali has done his routines on Comedy Central and  performed for the Stephen Colbert show.  Originally from Yemen, this comedian references Yemenese culture and what its like to live in Minnesota.

           LOOKING FORWARD TO AUGUST

This week I was house sitting .

Earlier on Wednesday night, I had let the cat out and it didn't come home until midnight and got caught  in the storm.  The electricity went out on Thursday morning, and I had to get my car out of the garage, so I pulled the emergency cord and lifted the door manually.  Then the garage door wouldn't open electronically until I figured out a trick to get it back on track. Overall, my stay was fantastic and my son loved being able to play outdoors at any time of the day.  There's a big difference of living in an apartment vs a house.

My son is turning Five tomorrow

This week I also talked to people about their  astrological signs.  I'm a Libra and their characteristics come with their vast stores of charm, intelligence, frankness, persuasion, and seamless connectivity.

I only gave a few rides for rideshare and several to Mall of America.  I picked up some business clients who showed signs of misogyny and were pointing out women they thought were beautiful.

I'm grateful for:

People who forgive.

Great yogurt (which helped me this week with heartburn

My brother babysitting

Rainy days that bring about nostalgia from childhood.

This was a book recommendation from Peace Love Book(YouTuber) and it was very interesting. It talks about a Rabbi falling for an Intimacy expert. Not something you read everyday.

           LOOKING FORWARD TO AUGUST

This week we did improv in person and that was pretty great. I included more pictures from the rooftop below.  I'm writing a piece on improv that I hope to submit to Medium.  I spent a lot of time writing and talking with UBER clients.

One of my  UBER clients was telling me how he likes his job working from home but explained how it's aggravating.  He seemed interested in this writers group called SHut Up and Write and how we meet every day on ZOOM.  "Everyday!" he said cheerfully, "Well except the weekend," I said.  "The host is pretty committed." I told him how the writers in that group have a lot of impressive writing jobs and will write grants and marketing and short stories, etc.  I took another person from the mechanic to the hotel and he  insisted on giving me instructions-- which was good because he put the wrong address in the app, and we would have drove fifteen minutes instead of five to the wrong hotel.

This week I also talked to writers about the post office and it being one of the largest employers of military officials and those with PTSD, and how they went into studying PTSD after a rage incident at the post office many years ago. And I never knew this but that's where we get the term "going postal." The post office is often under staffed as a state job and a lot of workers get sass from everyday people.

Doctor death is on Netflix.   Its based on a doctor (Christopher Duntsch), who injured Patients during surgery, even his own friend.

           LOOKING FORWARD TO FEBRUARY

Why am I celebrating yoga?
Because its fun!
I got this idea from my YOGA class at the YMCA.

I went to a yoga body flow class and was put to the test.  The instructor had us do like 30 downward dogs and we were in continuous motion the whole hour.  The teacher was also moving around the room and demonstrating moves and sometimes she'd be doing a move right along side you.

I talked to her after and she talked about how she has a degree in psychology and has worked as a therapist.  I believe it, because she was encouraging throughout. She talked about how our bodies are composed mostly of water. I heard this before but I liked how she described water and the flow of She said she'd give me all of the fitness tracks from that class.  And it came as no surprise that a Backstreet Boys' song was on one of the tracks, also a song called 'Rise Up. (All very motivating songs)

On a side note, I also went to the stage reading of the script 'Devil Wears Prada'-A Drinking game Minnesota at the Phoenix.
Lately, I have gone to several shows by myself which is okay, but not nearly as enjoyable as taking in a show with a friend and I found that if I go see the Drinking Game, I'm guaranteed to take in at least one performance where I know someone in the audience. It's like a breath of fresh air.
