LOOKING FORWARD to January

This week Zulfi and I went to the YMCA to go swimming.  He had a fun time playing with the water toys including the boats. He explored a nearby library and enjoyed these reading corners that reminded him of the Star Wars movie.

On Wednesday I returned to the dentist after my filling popped out of my mouth.  While looking down from the second floor window of the dental office, I could see police officers escorting a psych patient back into the psych ward after his harried escape failed. And Thursday, I went to the Orthopedic clinic to get a steroid shot in my right knee. I had been having trouble taking the stairs for a few weeks now, and the shot seemed to do the trick.

We woke up to a few inches on Thursday morning. I did improv online and wrote a comedy sketch about a character who is an insecure bodybuilder.

    1. Swimming is so relaxing for the body. I remember thinking about that the rest of the day. It was quite an adventure on Friday!

  3. We spent a lot of time at the library when my kids were young. There are so many things to do there for kids.

    Trust Your Vibes look intriguing.

  4. the library keeps beckoning to me, but I just don’t seem to get around to going there. I don’t think they had story time and that kind of thing when I was a kid, but it’s fun to see what you and Zulfi are finding. I remember the hush of the library.

  5. Sounds like a fun week with the library trip! I haven't been to my library in a while, need to get going because I tend to be able to get some writing done there, away from the distractions of my dogs! Hope you have a great week!

  6. My mom used to take me and my brother to the library when we were growing up and leave us for a few hours. That started me on a lifelong love for learning and for books. Glad your knee is feeling better. I used to love to swim, but I haven't in years.

  7. We did the same activities with our son Tristan when he was growing up. At least once a week to the library and I'm hoping he will continue with his daughter.
Man, what a week! Hope your knee gets better.

Thanks for your comment at my blog about Aja. We sure loved her.
