 Free Write on a topic called Shame followed her  

Shame soaked her

in the Showers of the YMCA.  

The overhead spray hitting her unclean body.

The white tiles telling the truth that she wasn't clean.

She gripped the walls and pulled the always too small shower curtains closed

trying to hide her exposed body.

The Y had hide-your-hinny bathroom stalls but they couldn't attach a dang door to the shower?

Her thoughts travelled with her.

Shame in the shower.

Her towel not covering her body and the sauna mates going on and on, on the topic of 

the benefits of the sauna.  The one topic that those lovely ladies seemed to have in common.

The hot cauldron that was at least bigger than the shower stall

She rubbed the  temples of her  forehead and pinched her nose wiping the shame that came between

the center of her eyes.

Shame followed her to the swimming pool, after 20 laps she felt exhausted but not like the other athletes whose souls were obviously fulfilled.
